Opportunity
Our group received IBM's Bluemix platform as a client for our SI622 class (Needs Assessment and Evaluation). Our goal for this class was to consult for Bluemix and help improve their user experience, as Bluemix is still in early stages of development (as of Winter 2015). |
Process
We explored different research methods (e.g. conducting user interviews, surveys, comparative analyses, heuristic evaluations, and usability evaluations) that all included data, findings, and recommendations we had crafted for the Bluemix team. We first started with: |
Research
The following is a summary of all the research activities we covered in a 3-month period for our client, IBM Bluemix. To proceed directly to our full pdf reports, click on the following: |

2. Interviews, Personas, & Scenarios (fully detailed report)
3. Survey Design (fully detailed report)
4. Comparative Analysis (fully detailed report)
5. Heuristic Evaluation (fully detailed report)
6. Usability Testing (fully detailed report)
Outcome
Although the class was demanding in workload and quick in pace, it proved to be one of my most rewarding classes at the University of Michigan. Our 6 usability reports were each delivered (on time) to our clients at IBM, who stated that they continue to benefit greatly from our recommendations. |
